The beef program has a number of jobs available for interested students. Eligible students must have completed both ASCI 221 and participated on at least one beef enterprise. In addition it is helpful if the student has volunteered at the beef unit. If selected, students are in charge of managing the purebred herd and maintaining the beef program's facilities. Students selected for a position in the beef program are then eligible to apply for agricultural housing. The beef program maintains housing for eight eligible students.
